Iva came to Charles River Alleycats in the summer of 2008 from Dorchester. She was rescued from a place where too many cats were left outside and were not spayed or neutered. She was a scared and sick little girl. She had a very bad upper respiratory tract infection. She was also a semi-feral kitten who had no human interaction. She was about 12 weeks old. With proper treatment and lots of love and handling, Iva decided she loved this new lifestyle. Though still on the shy side, she was ready for adoption.

Sue and Curt were looking to add a kitty to their home as a companion for their older kitty Sly when they came to meet Iva. She was shy at first, but they thought she would make a great addition to their home with love and patience.

Sue says:

When we first met Iva at CRA in August 2008, she was timid, but also sweet. Once we brought her home though, her personality has really developed and flourished. She is sweet and sassy, playful, loving and lives every moment. She especially loves looking outside, playing with her toys and trying to impress her 13-year old kitty "brother" Sly with her amazing superpowers. She is a delight and we are so happy she is with us."
