If Lucy could talk, what a story she would tell! Lucy is a pretty 8-year old tabby and white kitty – with the cutest white spot on the tip of her tail! She came to Charles River Alleycats in February 2009, following the untimely death of her beloved owner.
Lucy was initially devastated by the loss and pined for her owner for several months. Fortunately, she's since settled in to her foster home. While Lucy has always been welcome to stay, there remain some serious limitations for her ... the other resident felines!
The fact is, Lucy just adores people and attention. But she simply does not like other cats. This means she must spend her time in a finished attic (i.e., Lucy’s apartment) where she gets limited attention and exposure to human companionship. Accordingly, Lucy is desperately looking for a forever home where she can be someone’s one and only girl!
We recognize that some people worry about adopting an older cat. The good news is, Lucy is young at heart and her situation is somewhat unique. Her late owner left her a small stipend (managed by Charles River Alleycats) so costs associated with her basic care are covered. This includes vet visits and medicine.
If you are willing to open your home and your heart, Lucy sure would appreciate it!
